EAC and Housing LIN launch free tool to help plan housing for older people

SHOP@ tool
SHOP@ is a free online analysis tool to help local authorities and providers identify potential demand for different types of specialist housing in England.

Developed jointly by EAC and the Housing Learning and Improvement Network (Housing LIN) in collaboration with Essex and Suffolk County Councils, the tool draws on Census data to help predict local demand for older people's accommodation, compares this with existing supply based on EAC's databases of specialist housing and care homes, and enables users to model alternative scenarios for the future.

The SHOP@ tool is free to use, and is backed by a free consultation service to help you explore its power. Two introductory videos can be viewed on the LIN website along with detailed explanatory notes.
