EAC has been involved for many years in collecting detailed information about housing provision and care homes for older people.  We claim to have by far the most extensive and detailed information about sheltered and retirement housing throughout the UK.  We are working on a brand new database of information about care homes that adds a classification of homes by lifestyle types to the traditional factual data. EAC also delivers a comprehensive advice and information service to 10,000 older people and their families each year, covering the full range of housing and care options available.  A considerable amount of information is recorded about each enquirer, which when analysed, provides a unique picture of their aspirations, hopes, preferences and needs. EAC’s research and analysis services bring together these two data sets, combines them with demographic data, and produces reports, analyses, mapping and general understandings of benefit to housing and care providers, funders and policy makers.
